Canada passes C-45 law to legalize cannabis: The members of the House of Commons in Canada voted with an overwhelming winning vote (200 to 82), to legalize and regulate the adult use of cannabis. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and the liberal party members back the measure which will now face debate in the senate.

The bill, C-45, would amend the federal controlled drug act which would allow anyone over the age of 18, may legally purchase, possess, and grow personal use marijuana. It would also establish new rules and regulations that govern the commercial production and sales of cannabis products. If all goes well the new legislation should be in place by July 2018. "Right on Canada!" Lets go America, do we always need to be the last ones to get on board when it comes to marijuana reform?

Peace,
Bart
